The Tennessee Association of Fairs took part in the 2014
Ag Day on The Hill!
March 25 at the Legislative Plaza in Nashville, Tennessee This was a great day the following pictures share just a touch of the events.
Beginning at 8:00 am, after passing through all the security to gain entrance this big sign was a great welcome to kick of the day. The halls were filled with a number of exhibitors setting up. Individual turning in items for the first annual auction and for those on the job simply making their way to their office on this morning was possibly a job in itself.
Pictured far right – Mrs. Emily Pitcock, TAF Executive Secretary and Mrs. Lynne Williams, Fair Administrator with the Commissioner of Agricultural Office visiting the Tennessee State Fair’s book and Mr. Scott Jones, State Fair Manager (pictured far right) as others stop by for one of those great “Pick Tennessee Produced Moon Pies” and of course the latest news on the Tennessee State Fair. The Tennessee State Fair is a member of the TAF.
Not a great picture but, it shows some of the 9:00 a.m. activities of the Cow Milking Contest between the Senate and House members.
There was also a “cattle-weighing contest” and this was the star of that event. What do you think?
